ifilm to start airing ‘Brother’

ifilm English Channel is scheduled to air the series ‘Brother’ from August 19, 2020.

Directed by Javad Afshar, ‘Brother’ is about Haj Kazem Pahlavan, a reputable merchant in Tehran’s rice bazaar.

Haj Kazem supports domestic production, and trades nothing but Iranian rice. This puts him at odds with his disgruntled son, Naser, who thinks making a profit is the only thing that matters.

In the meantime, his daughter, Maryam, a passionate young journalist, is conducting her own investigation into the expired and contaminated foreign rice flooding the market.

To her surprise, all the clues lead to her own brother, Naser. What ensues is a power struggle between good and evil, in a story of love, sacrifice, and redemption.

Some of the series’ well-known actors are Reza Tavakkoli, Gelareh Abbasi, Pouriya Poursorkh, Hassan Pourshirazi, Majid Vasheqani, Hossein Yari, Soheila Razavi, Kazem Balouchi, Kaveh Khoda-Shenas and Mehrdad Ziaee.

‘Brother’, which is set to replace the series ‘Fear's Reward 2’, will be aired at 21:00 GMT with three repeats the next day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00 (All GMT times).
